Program Overview

Immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of Tunisia through Harvard's Center for Middle Eastern Studies' winter term study program. This 2.5-week experience, based in Tunis, offers an opportunity to explore Tunisian landscapes and urbanism. Each student will be required to keep a notebook throughout the program and is expected to actively participate in all programmed activities.

What You’ll Experience

  • Hands-on Field Research: Engage in practical exercises like notetaking and sketching, enhancing your observational skills.
  • Excursions: Visit Tunisia's archaeological sites, extensive archives, and diverse cities and landscapes.
  • Multidisciplinary Learning: Perfect for graduate students from all Harvard schools and undergraduates with research interests in North African or Middle Eastern studies (priority given to juniors and seniors).
