As of October 15, 2023, the bombardment of Gaza had already killed 2,670 Palestinians and injured more than 9,600. At least 600,000 Palestinians have been displaced. In concomitant attacks in the West Bank, 56 Palestinians have been killed and 1,173 injured. At least 23 humanitarian staff, including 11 health workers and 12 UNRWA employees, were killed as of October 14 in documented attacks against health workers and infrastructure. The Israeli government has cut off civilian infrastructures of food, water, fuel, and medicine essential for the sustenance of life.

The humanitarian reality in Palestine, and in Gaza in particular, is dire. CMES mourns the thousands of lives lost in the war and feels for the millions of civilians enduring indiscriminate violence and forced displacement. Local and international organizations are in urgent need of support. In addition to well-known organizations, the following agencies, well-established in the area, are in urgent need of support.
