Mehmet Durmaz is a master’s student in Middle Eastern studies. Before joining Harvard, he completed his undergraduate studies in economics and history at Boğaziçi University. Mehmet's research interests include historical political development and political economy in the Middle East, with an emphasis on the seventeenth-century crisis within the Ottoman domains.
