On December 3, 2012, Jon Alterman, Zbigniew Brzezinski Chair in Global Security and Geostrategy and director of the Middle East Program at Center for Strategic & International Studies, gave a talk for CMES at Sever Hall. Titled "The Egyptian Revolutions and Defining the New Normals," the public lecture was presented as part of CMES's "Focus On: Arab Transformation" lecture series.
