Hashim Sarkis is a member of the CMES Steering Committee and is the Aga Khan Professor of Landscape Architecture and Urbanism in Muslim Societies. Professor Sarkis's landscape design and building project of housing for fishermen in Tyre, Lebanon was recently noted in The Economist online edition, 30 September 2010, as part of a new exhibit “Small Scale, Big Change” at the Museum of Modern Art from 3 October 2010-3 January 2011.
