Center for Middle Eastern Studies seeks Executive Director
The Center for Middle Eastern Studies (CMES) at Harvard University is seeking applications for an Executive Director.
Founded in 1954, CMES seeks to foster knowledge of Middle Eastern and Islamic societies and cultures worldwide, not only for its scholarly value but also for its potential in addressing the region's long-standing economic, political, and other challenges. The Center for Middle Eastern Studies supports an AM degree program, three joint PhD programs, research, seminars and conferences, publications, visiting scholars, and the Outreach Center.
The Executive Director will work closely with the Faculty Director in providing strategic leadership and management of the Center. In close partnership, the Executive Director will support the conceptualization and development of new programs, strategies, and initiatives and administer their execution.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's or PhD degree combined with academic administration or non-profit management experience. Demonstrated experience managing budgets, staff and federal and non-federal sponsored programs required.
