Paul Silverstein Associate Professor of Anthropology, Reed College
Paul A. Silverstein is Associate Professor of Anthropology at Reed College. A 2008 Carnegie scholar, he is author of Algeria in France:Transpolitics, Race, and Nation (Indiana, 2004) and co-editor of Bourdieu in Algeria: Colonial Politics, Ethnographic Practices, Theoretical Developments (Nebraska, 2009). His current research focuses on land rights, secularism, and the Berber/Amazigh movement in southeastern Morocco.
