Master of Ottoman-Turkish Classical Music
Necati Çelik was born in Konya, Turkey, in 1955, the home of the Mevlevi order of Jelaluddin Rumi. Born into this crucible of music as a prodigy, he increased his development with great masters. He has performed, recorded and taught internationally for years. He is known as a master representative of the classical Turkish style of the oud, especially in high level playing skills and the art of taksim, improvisation.
