Fulbright Scholar and Visiting Researcher, Centre For Middle East Studies, Harvard University; Dean, Faculty of Mass Communication and Languages, Gaza University, Palestine
Dr. Wesam Amer is the Dean of Faculty of Mass Communication and Languages at Gaza University. Currently, he is a Fulbright scholar and visiting researcher at Harvard University. His expertise is in mainstream and social media discourse and politics, wars and conflicts. Wesam finished a PhD in Media and Communication at the University of Hamburg, Germany. Dr. Amer won first place in the Data-Driven Research Award in the Middle East and North Africa in 2021.
