Haytarma (2013) is a docudrama that closely follows the events surrounding the deportation of the Crimean Tatars by the Soviet regime in 1944.
Director: Akhtem Seitablaev; writer: Nikolay Rybalka.
This film will be screened after a panel talk on the Crimean Tatars at 3:00pm, also at CMES: https://cmes.fas.harvard.edu/event/crimea-and-crimean-tatars-persecution-and-survival-historical-perspective.
