The Center for Middle Eastern Studies is pleased to present an
Arabic Calligraphy Workshop with Dr. Muhammad Habib
Calligraphy gives a soul to words. Come and join us to learn about the art of the written word and different styles of calligraphy in the Arabo-Islamic tradition in a workshop led by Dr. Muhammad Habib. As you practice the aesthetics of Arabic script, you will create your own art and enjoy the opportunity of connecting yourself with art, history, and tradition.
Please note: this workshop is open only to Harvard students, faculty and staff.
Dr. Muhammed Habib is a calligrapher and preceptor in Arabic at Harvard University. He studied calligraphy at the Calligraphy Institute in Cairo, Egypt, and gives workshops on the art of calligraphy at institutions across the country.
