Preceptor in Arabic, Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations
Said Hannouchi holds a PhD in Arabic and applied linguistics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Spring, 2017). His research interests include second language acquisition, the pedagogies of teaching Arabic language and cultures, and intercultural communication and competence. His current research focuses on native speakers’ and non-native speakers’ expectations of conformity to Arab cultural norms and implications for development of intercultural communicative competence. Said has over ten years of experience teaching Arabic as a second and foreign language at leading universities around the country.
