Nicole Plante

Nicole Plante is an AM student who received her Bachelor’s from Elon University. She graduated from Elon with a major in international and global studies and minors in Middle Eastern studies, religious studies and geography. She also conducted research on how refugees create belonging post-resettlement in the United States. This research has been accepted for presentation at two conferences in the spring of 2022 and she is currently working on a publication of her findings as well. During her time as an undergraduate, she also spent time working with refugee organizations in the United States and Lebanon. After graduation, Nicole took a gap year where she worked for Boston Cares as a program coordinator for their Allies for Immigrants Program and as a Research Fellow for the Migrant Alliance and Partnership Network. At Harvard, Nicole plans to study Arabic and continue her studies of the Middle East, migration, humanitarian aid, and human rights.
