Blaire E. Byg
Blaire Byg graduated with honors from the University of Chicago with degrees in political science and Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations. She wrote her honors thesis on investing in sustainable local enterprise networks in the Palestinian agricultural sector as a new model for Palestinian aid. Her research interests center around economic development, Israel-Palestine, and issues of migration in the Middle East. She has studied Arabic in Amman and Jerusalem and has worked and volunteered for several organizations focused on refugee integration and women’s rights. Blaire has traveled extensively in the Middle East and Europe and speaks Arabic and some Spanish.
