DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>The WCFIA/CMES Middle East Seminar</strong> presents</p><p><strong>Ambassador Fareed Yasseen</strong><br>Ambassador of Iraq to the United States<!--break--><drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="ac3d3685-6399-44d9-b038-3e46e9726050" data-align="right" alt="Fareed Yasseen" data-view-mode="hwp_small"></drupal-media></p><p>Educated in Iraq, Switzerland and the United States and trained as a Physicist, initially Ambassador Fareed Yasseen carried out research in Europe and the United States before getting involved in political activism and human rights advocacy. He has worked and consulted for various UN agencies and think tanks. He has served as Head of Policy Planning for the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Diplomatic Adviser to Deputy President Adil Abd al-Mahdi; and Iraqi Ambassador to France from 2010-2016.
