DESCRIPTION:<p></p><p><strong>The Islam in the West Seminar </strong>is pleased to present</p><p><strong style="font-family: 'Crimson text', serif; font-size: initial;">Rahsaan Maxwell, Ph.D.<br></strong>Assistant Professor of Political Science, University of Massachusetts, Amherst</p><p><!--break-->Dr. Maxwell's research interests include political attitudes, identity formation, representation and participation. He examines those issues through the politics of immigrant, ethnic, racial, and religious minorities, with a focus on Western Europe. In addition to several journal articles and chapters, he has two books being published in 2012. One is with Cambridge University Press and explores group-level integration variation among ethnic minority migrants in Britain and France. The second is with Lynne Rienner Publishers and is co-edited with Terri Givens.
