DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Professor Abdullah Mesud Küçükkalay</strong><br>Department of Economics, Economic History, Faculty of Economics &amp; Business Administration, Eskisehir Osmangazi University; 2012-13 CMES Visiting Researcher<!--break--></p><p>Professor Küçükkalay received his PhD degree from Marmara University, Istanbul, in 1998. Currently he is working in Eskisehir Osmangazi University, Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. He is specialized in economic history and history of economic thought. He has published articles on the monetary transactions in the Ottoman Empire, Ottoman foreign trade and European exports to Istanbul and Smyrna, Ottoman land system and the commercialization process of Ottoman agricultural sector to the market economy. He has published three books: <em>Overseas Explorations and Economies</em> (in Turkish); <em>Ottoman Imports: The Case of Smyrna, 1818-1839</em> (in Turkish); <em>History of Economic Thought </em>(in Turkish).
