Examining a selection of objects in a range of media, we will investigate how innovative technologies influenced artistic production in the Islamic world from the 9th century on. At the same time, we will explore the representation of enduring themes such as love and power, and consider how works of art in the exhibition <em>In Harmony: The Norma Jean Calderwood Collection of Islamic Art</em> can broaden our understanding of the Islamic world.</div><div> </div><div><div><strong>Format and Participation </strong></div><div>This webinar is open to those working on education at the K-12 level. The session will be run via an AdobeConnect virtual classroom and can be accessed from any computer equipped with the latest version of Flash.
