DESCRIPTION:<p>	<strong>Center for Middle Eastern Studies</strong> presents</p><p>	<strong>Renk Özdemir</strong><drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="9166d69a-ac31-494f-ad62-916cdd3589be" data-align="right" data-view-mode="hwp_small"></drupal-media><br>Assistant Professor of International Relations at Hacettepe University; Visiting Scholar, Center for Middle Eastern Studies<!--break--></p><p>	Renk Özdemir is Assistant Professor of International Relations at Hacettepe University and Visiting Scholar at Harvard University's Center for Middle Eastern Studies. Özdemir holds an MSc degree in Social Research Methods and a PhD degree in International Relations from the University of Sussex, respectively funded by the Jean Monnet and the ORSAS schemes. Özdemir's work on forced migration was supported by grants from the MiReKoc - FPME, BIAA, and TUBITAK and two of her resulting publications received the Robert W. and Jessie Cox and the Routledge - GCP&amp;S Essay Awards. Özdemir is currently working on a postdoctoral research project funded by TUBITAK on the Syrian refugee crisis and is completing the final refinements of a first book monograph on the early twentieth century Mandatory Greco-Turkish Population Transfer.</p><p>	Contact: <a href="mailto:elizabethflanagan@fas.harvard.edu">Liz Flanagan</a></p>
