She has a PhD in Comparative Studies from La Sorbonne, Paris. She has been the Head and founder of the postgraduate program in Cross Cultural Studies. Her teaching and research areas revolve around folklore, anglophone literatures, postmodernity and post-coloniality, and Maghreban literatures and film.
