She is currently a visiting fellow at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies (Harvard University) and the Crown Center for Middle Eastern Studies (Brandeis University). Her research focuses on the impingement of political development on the formation of a police apparatus in the context of Tunisia. She is especially interested in the effect of the decolonization process on security services formation and state violence. She holds the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarship. In December 2015, she co-founded a Tunisian media and think-tank called Barr al Aman Research &amp; Media, where she is now its incumbent president.
