She also received a double major degree in Arabic Language and Literature Department of Eastern Languages and Literatures from the same university. Following her graduation, she started to work as a research assistant at Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University, and she is still at the same institution. She received her MA and PhD degrees from the same university. She examined all the works of Ziya Pasha from the psychoanalytic perspective in her MA thesis. She scrutinized all narratives of Safiye Erol with the approach of model reader in her PhD dissertation. Her research interests are modern Turkish literature, late Ottoman literature, the relation between literature and philosophy, literary theories, dream narratives, women's literature, and humor. She has written several papers, book chapters, and books on these subjects.
