**The Islam in the West Seminar** is pleased to present

**Rahsaan Maxwell, Ph.D.** Assistant Professor of Political Science, University of Massachusetts, Amherst

Dr. Maxwell's research interests include political attitudes, identity formation, representation and participation. He examines those issues through the politics of immigrant, ethnic, racial, and religious minorities, with a focus on Western Europe. In addition to several journal articles and chapters, he has two books being published in 2012. One is with Cambridge University Press and explores group-level integration variation among ethnic minority migrants in Britain and France. The second is with Lynne Rienner Publishers and is co-edited with Terri Givens. It explores recent political trends among racial minorities and migrants across Western Europe.
