Sebastian Güenther, Chair of Arabic and Islamic Studies at the University of Göettingen, focuses in his research on the intellectual heritage of the Arabic-Islamic world. His current book project, *Medieval Muslim Thinkers on Education*, analyzes pedagogical theories advanced by leading Muslim thinkers from the 8th to the 15th centuries CE.
