Preceptor in Persian, NELC, Harvard University Sheida Dayani is the Preceptor in Persian at Harvard University, where she teaches Persian language and modern literature. Her PhD dissertation, completed at the department of Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies at NYU, examines the transition of Iranian drama from indigenous theatre to European-style playwriting in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries and explains its role in transforming the society before, during, and after the Constitutional Revolution. Sheida is a published poet in Persian and English.
