**The CMES Working Group on Middle East Literature in Transition: New Frontiers in the 21st Century** is pleased to present

**Ceyhun Arslan**  
Ceyhun Arslan is a second-year PhD student in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at Harvard University, and has secondary concentrations in Comparative Literature and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. He is interested in exploring the intersections among Turkish, Arabic, Persian, and French literary works in the nineteenth and early twentieth century. In particular, he wants to compare the representations of national movements in late Ottoman Turkish and early modern Arabic texts.
