Professor of Political Science, Dean, Faculty of Communication, Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey; Visiting Scholar, CMES Spring 2023 *Discussant*: **Ali Çarkoğlu**, Professor of Political Science at Koç University, Istanbul

 Emre Toros is Professor of Political Science at the Faculty of Communication, Hacettepe University, Turkey. His proposed project at CMES will be among the early studies that focus on one of the most significant obstacles to democratic governance of current times. In this regard, the project utilizes the towering literature on electoral integrity and formulates a fresh and comprehensive approach for understanding the phenomena, accompanied by a case study on Turkey.
