**Magda Mohammed El Sanousi Omer** Oxfam Great Britain Country Director in Beirut, Lebanon

Magda Mohammed El Sanousi Omer is the Oxfam Great Britain Country Director in Beirut, Lebanon, where she directs the Middle East Regional Gender Equality Program. She has extensive experience working in the areas of gender justice with a special focus on engaging men and boys in promoting gender equality. She holds an M.A. in both Rural Development and Gender and Development from the University of Sussex.

Magda is currently leading a women’s empowerment program with an innovative Arab Spring strategy.
