Anna is a first year Master's student in the Center for Middle Eastern Studies. She came to Harvard after spending 15-months in Morocco as a Fulbright Student Researcher, where she studied Moroccan Arabic in Fes and conducted ethnographic research on women's carpet weaving cooperatives in the Middle Atlas Mountains. Her studies at Harvard focus on North African history and politics and the Arabic language. Anna received her bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago in 2013 with a joint concentration in History and the Law, Letters and Society program, and also studied Arabic and French. She is originally from Portland, Maine.
